We are super excited to announce the second edition of the Rodtrip Pike Challenge.
Last year we went to Castle Hamilton (see our video bellow), to check out if pike fishing in Ireland is as good as they say.
We went, we saw, and we had some serious fun.
Our Rodtrip team really enjoys an adventure which can be done by any flyfisher, young or old, on a budget or not.
We spent our last weekend in France and it was 100% fly fishing ! We were invited at Coyolles for the Rise festival and we had in mind to try new lakes for pike in the same area.
Last year at the fly fishing fair of Charleroi, Belgium, I had the chance to meet a lama breeder who had started to commercialise the hairs for fly tying purposes.
One more time, like every year since 3 years now, we visit the polders in The Netherlands. It has become our usual trip of the end of the year, so far, because we have been really tempted by an other pike destination this time… next year maybe !
The first edition of the Rodtrip Pike Challenge is now over, it’s now time to share the results and the first photos…
Whilst enjoying known and (until then) unknown visitors in our booth at the yearly flyfishing highlight of Belgium which is the ‘Fête de la pêche à la mouche’, we were introduced to some very nice Irish people, Audrey and Alan.
If you missed the new, this year we will organize our first fly fishing competition : the Rodtrip Pike Challenge !
For the first time, we have decided to organize a fly fishing competition.
