Some year ago the idea came into my head to become a flyfishing guide around the world ! After a couple years of reflection, I finally found a guide school in Montana which works with a lot of lodges all around the world, SweetWater Travel Company !
That’s it, Rodtrip is now 1 year ! I wanted to start with a little story toexplain you how this project started. For the occasion we also organized a little contest, all details are below.
Slovenias is a true paradise for fishermen of any kind. Both rivers, lakes and ponds in their famous green colours are stacked with many kinds of freshwater fish, with more than 20 species suited for sportfishing.
So the day was upon me, my England senior team rivers qualifier on the river Itchen. Previous practise days had shown me where the pockets of fish were, all I had to do was go and catch them. I wish it was that simple!
It became common to see fishermen with an action cam on the head, on the chest or mounted on a stick and most of the time it’s a GoPro.
Backpacking for three weeks all across Argentina in february, that was the plan my girlfriend and I had when we booked our flights somewhat a year ago.

On 29th june, the members of Rodtrip met themselves at Sommedieue for an unique fishing day.
Since spring I have been very busy, by work, by rodtrip and of course by fly fishing !
The Fly fishing opens new ways to pike fishing, even if it’s not really fly that we use, it is a totally different approach than lure fishing.
